The mission of the Island Coast High School Scholars Program is to offer selected high achieving students on and off campus enriching educational opportunities. The program seeks to connect rigorous coursework with post-secondary and career possibilities.
Scholars Program Requirements:
- Students must be ranked in the Top Ten of the class
- For 2020-21, students in Grades 10 and 11 will need to be ranked in the class’s Top Ten from the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Students in Grade 9 will need to be ranked in their Top Ten after semester 1 of the 2020-2021 school year.
- For 2021-22, students in Grades 10,11, 12 will need to be ranked in the Top 10 of their class at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
Island Coast Scholar Coordinator: Stephen Thuot, Ph.D. Dr. Thuot is the 9th Grade School Counselor. He received his School Counseling degree from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass and his Ph.D. in Sport Psychology from the University of Connecticut.
