What we do:

The JROTC Rifle Team requires a high aptitude of focus and marksmanship. Cadets perform precision shooting from three different positions; prone, kneeling and standing. Rifle safety is a top priority that each cadet is required to master. The team competes in sanctioned tournaments around Cape Coral and here, at Island Coast High School. King of the Cape is a rifle competition where Cape Coral high schools each take turns hosting the events,  setting up the range and cooking a delicious dinner. 

Island Coast High School itself hosts not only King of the Cape events, but it has the honor to host both County and State rifle competitions.
