Coach Louisme is a native of Fort Myers, Florida and played for Coach Ed O’Brien at Fort Myers High School from 2000 until 2004. He was a Two-time All- State selection and the Fort Myers News-Press Player of the year in 2004. He averaged 15.8 points 12.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks a game as a senior, 12.5 points 12.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks a game as a junior. Coach Louisme was named one of the Top 25 players in the state of Florida in 2004. Coach Louisme then took his talents to New Orleans, Louisiana where he received an athletic scholarship to play at Tulane University. A survivor of Hurricane Katrina, Coach Louisme graduated with a bachelors in Media Arts and a minor in Advertising. He moved on to play professionally in France, Ireland and Germany for five years.
Coach Louisme has continued his passion and love for the game with the Island Coast Gators. Last season as the junior varsity coach and now as the head coach of the Gators.
Coach Garner is a native of Sheffield, Alabama. She attended Sheffield High School where she was a starter on the varsity all four years. Coach Garner then accepted a two year basketball scholarship at Northwest Shoals Community College located in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. While at Northwest Shoals she help lead her team to the State Finals two years and graduated with an A.A. degree in Science.
After graduating from Northwest Shoals Community College she continued her basketball career at Blue Mountain College located in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. She graduated with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Social Science.
Coach Garner started her career coaching at a 6A middle school as the 8 th grade head girls’ basketball coach while also serving as the assistant coach for Northwest Shoals Community College. Both coaching jobs brought her much success. Coach Garner then became an assistant coach at Florida State College in Jacksonville, Florida. Florida State College were Conference Champs two years in a row and also nationally ranked. Her players had the opportunity to continue their basketball careers and play for other major colleges and universities around the world.
Coach Garner has a true passion for the game and wants nothing more than to teach and coach basketball, something that has brought so much joy and opportunities in her life. She is so happy to be a part of the “Gator Nation” and all the success that is to come as the Head Girls’ Basketball Coach at Island Coast High School.

Boys' Basketball Outlook:
We will be a surprising group this year with some much underrated talent. Potentially could be one of the better Island Coast teams if they continue to work hard. This Island Coast team has more than enough talent to compete for a district title this season.

Girls' Basketball Outlook:
The Lady Gators have talent and speed on the team. Team play will be extremely important for this young group. For success the strong group of underclassmen will need to rise to the challenge and help in leading the team. For a successful season the team must trust their teammates and the coaching staff and put in the hard work necessary for success. The Lady Gators once again have set their sights on a district championship.
Last season’s record: 20 win, 7 loses. Made it to the quarterfinals of the District Playoffs.
